The 1938 Cleveland Rams were a professional American football team that played in the National Football League (NFL) during the 1938 season. The team was still relatively new, having been founded in 1936, and they played their home games at League Park in Cleveland, Ohio.
In the 1938 NFL season, the Cleveland Rams had a disappointing record of 1-10-0, finishing in last place in the NFL’s Western Division. The team was coached by Dudley DeGroot, who took over as head coach that season. The Rams struggled both offensively and defensively, which contributed to their poor performance.
Although the Rams were not successful on the field, they remained a part of Cleveland’s football landscape during this time. However, after the 1938 season, the team would eventually relocate to Los Angeles in 1946, where they became the Los Angeles Rams. This move marked the beginning of the franchise’s lasting success in the NFL.
The 1938 season for the Cleveland Rams was a rough one, but it was part of the team’s early years in the league before they became a more prominent NFL franchise later on.
