The 1937 Cleveland Rams were a professional American football team that played in the National Football League (NFL). They were based in Cleveland, Ohio, and played their home games at League Park.
In 1937, the Rams were part of the NFL’s Western Division and had a notable season. The team finished with a 4-7-0 record under head coach Adrian Burk. The Rams had been established in 1936, and the 1937 season was only their second year in the league. They faced challenges, including stiff competition and a lack of success in the standings.
The Rams are historically significant because they were one of the first professional football teams in Cleveland, which would later become home to the more famous Cleveland Browns. In 1946, the Rams would relocate to Los Angeles and become the Los Angeles Rams, eventually becoming one of the most iconic teams in NFL history.
The 1937 Cleveland Rams didn’t have a remarkable record, but they helped lay the groundwork for the franchise’s future success.
