Situated in the stunning Sunshine Coast Hinterland, KickAss Music & Camping Festival returns in 2023 after a successful inaugural event last year.
To be staged 8-10 September, KickAss Festival welcomes a multigenerational line-up catered to music lovers of all ages.
Member of the Australian Songwriters Hall of Fame, iconic Aussie musician James Reyne (Australian Crawl) headlines the 2023 programme alongside roots-rock band The Beautiful Girls, country-rock act Kingswood and blues-roots artist Ash Grunwald.
“We are so excited to come and play the Kick-Ass Festival. It’s a beautiful thing to be able to get out and share some music together again. Let’s go!” shares The Beautiful Girls.
ARIA Hall Of Fame members Dragon and pop-rock band GANGgajang will also head to KissAss in 2023.
“We are overjoyed to be continuing our journey and hosting our second music and camping festival,” Festival Manager Josh Allen says.
“Last year was just a dip in the ocean compared to what we have planned this time around. We can’t wait to share this line-up with you and believe those who love great music and the great outdoors will absolutely love this festival.”
There’s a stack of Queensland talent playing as well including Sunny Coast Rude Boys, Mason Rack, Fat Picnic, Bearfoot, Lecia Louise, Jerome Williams, August River Band and Flaskas.
“This festival does exactly what it says. Kicks ass!” Lecia Louise says. “An amazing team working hard to ensure that a fun, yet safe time is had by all.”
Adds GANGgajang’s Buzz Bidstrup: “GANGgajang are stoked to get ‘out on the patio’ at the Kick-Ass Festival this year.
“The Sunshine Coast Hinterland is such a beautiful part of the world and we look forward to sharing the stage with such an impressive line-up of talented artists. Bring your togs for a dip in Mary River.”
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 17 May.
