Kyrgyzstan and Slovenia develop business contacts –

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan held the Kyrgyz-Slovenian Business Forum. Press service of the organization reported.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fajon arrived to participate in the forum. The participants are confident that the business forum will give an impetus to the intensification of interaction between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

«The indicators of trade and economic cooperation between our states are not high now, but there is potential for growth. For 11 months of 2022, the volume of bilateral trade between Kyrgyzstan and Slovenia amounted to only $12.1 million. We think that the business forum will give impetus to growth. Entrepreneurs themselves will tell you about the barriers to the development of effective trade with Slovenia,» said Temir Sariev, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Within the framework of the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and the Public Agency for Entrepreneurship, Internationalisation, Foreign Investments and Technology SPIRIT Slovenia. The main areas of partnership will be the development of common communication platforms at the international level in order to stimulate interstate cooperation in various fields, to help strengthen existing, search for and develop new long-term partnerships between representatives of the business community of the parties.

Kyrgyzstan and Slovenia are ready to expand cooperation through the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries and are considering signing a partnership agreement.

«Today we have the opportunity to open up new ways for cooperation, find mutual interest in various industries, and demonstrate the industrial potential of both states. Therefore, our delegation includes such large industrial companies as DUOL d.o.o. — a manufacturer of sports facilities, agricultural complexes, facilities for greenhouses, RIKO, which covers advanced areas — energy, engineering, logistics, construction and others; EHO — a manufacturer of a range of services in the field of industrial cooling of vegetables and fruits,» Tanja Fajon told.

As a result of the business forum, Memorandums of Understanding were also signed between the National Investment Agency and the Public Agency for Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, Foreign Investments and Technology SPIRIT Slovenia, as well as between JalGroup Asia LLC and DUOL d.o.o.
