BELFAST — Music, Legos, and more are on the February Children’s programming schedule at Belfast Free Library.
Music Together is an early childhood opportunity for families. Sponsored by the Belfast Free Library a FREE class conducted the first Saturday of the month through a partnership with Midcoast Music Academy. A talented music teacher leads families in circle songs, instrument play and rhythm.
“Start your child’s music story early and successfully at the Belfast Free Library,” said BFL, in a news release
Saturday, February 4, from 10:30-11:15 a.m.
Take and Make is a monthly opportunity to pick up a craft at the Belfast Free Library, take it home and make it. All supplies are included and funded in part by a generous grant from the Anonimo Foundation. The February Take and Make for children will have materials from making a felt Valentine to keep or give. The February Take and Make for teens will be materials for a solar system mobile.
Pick up beginning Tuesday, February 7 during library hours while supplies last.
LEGO Club
Love LEGO’s? The library provides the LEGOs. Bring your creativity and you can take the monthly build challenge if you like. Work on your own or with others, ask for help finding pieces and feel free to tell about your creation. All LEGO creations will be on display on the second floor of the Belfast Free Library until the next LEGO Club.
Thursday, February 9, from 4 – 5 p.m.
Storytime: at the Belfast Free Library is created with preschoolers in mind and is enjoyed by infants through elementary age. Stories are sometimes read aloud or told, brought to life with puppets and felt pieces and often followed by a craft. Storytime builds literacy, social skills and community.
“Join us!” said the release.
